The Omaka Camp Activity Shed provides groups with a range of resources to complete outdoor educational, fun or teambuilding activities. We have everything you need for days of fun without the high cost.

All of these team activities must be run by a supervising adult or a Qualified Instructor. Please contact Youthtown Outdoors on 381 3245 or outdoors.christchurch@youthtown.org.nz if you would prefer your activities to be led by Qualified Instructors.

Our Activity Shed is located between the hall and the lodge. The use of the Activity Shed is by booking only via the booking form.

BIVVY BUILDING

In our specially built bivvy building area, youth are challenged to construct bivouacs from provided staves, cords, ropes and tarps.

COMPASS ACTIVITY

We have a large scale wooden compass puzzle that youth are challenged to complete within a set time. Once completed, teams are sent on one of two looped courses, to locate markers with the use of their compass.
