Our confidence course has been designed to offer a range of different challenges as well as some fun. With 11 different obstacles that include climbing, swinging and crawling there is something for everyone and be used in a variety of ways.

SLACKLINES
- ACTIVITY
Youth are challenged to cross the Otukaikino Stream individually or in teams without falling in. A very popular activity.

FEEDING EELS
- ACTIVITY
Omaka takes great pride in our resident eels. They are tame and are able to be hand fed from our eel feeding platform. An information sheet is provided so youth can be taught about eels and how they may help protect this endangered species.
Tip: You may want your youth to complete the tyre tube run before teaching about the eels!

WATERSLIDE
- ACTIVITY
Using our waterslide mat, youth are able to challenge themselves and others to be first into the stream. This mat works extremely well with blowup mattresses! Slide and pegs kept in the Activity Shed.

RIVER TUBING
- ACTIVITY
Omaka Camp has multiple tyre tubes available for use for the pure fun of floating down the stream.

BLIND TRAIL
- ACTIVITY
Sited in a pocket of dense bush, youth are challenged to complete the trail blindfolded (day or night) purely by holding onto a rope- encountering some challenges and obstacles along the way. Children love this activity at night.

RIVER CROSSING

Using the beautiful Otukaikino Stream youth are taught the fundamentals of river crossings including where and how to cross and also the most suitable techniques.

RIVER SWIMMING

This is a seasonal activity, however, when the sun is shining the beautiful Otukaikino Stream is the perfect place to cool down.

CAMPFIRE PIT
- ACTIVITY
This is a seasonal activity, fires can only be lit at Omaka Camp with the permission of the committee.

Free, however, you will need to source your own resources to light the fire and the wood to burn. There is plenty to be found lying under the trees or in the tin sheds.
